Today we are going to be working on the our procedures portion of our projects as a group for the first 25 minutes of class. Then we will continue discussion of the protista kingdom. Make sure that you have a copy of the projects procedures and can make up the work that you have missed.

Lecture will cover unicellular and multicellular algae and the 3 groups of algae, green, red and brown. We will be covering their characteristics and also their commercial and functional uses.

We will be covering the protist which use flagella as a mode of movement, like the dinoflagellates, zoomastigotes and euglenoids..

We will also be covering the protist which use cilia to swim like the paramecium and its characteristic features.

We will finish up with the protistan molds and members of the phylum sporozoa.
