Charioteer (470 BC?) is an example of the early classical Greek style, made of bronze and having more life to it than Archaic sculpture. This is a detail of a complete figure, originally part of a group that included a chariot and horses. The figure represents a king's driver. The eyes are made of glass paste with lashes made of hairlike pieces of bronze.
