Don't forget that you have iPhoto installed on your Mac. It's a pretty good program, and I use it on occasion to make slideshows, etc.
Photo sharing websites are places that offer online storage spaces for your photos with the ability to tag and organize each photo into different files. You can then share these photo’s with others easier than sending them via email. You also have the ability to publish your photos and in some programs, can even edit the photos into a slide show complete with music and streaming video.

Others she missed are:
Picasa, RocketLife, Picnik, Koffeephoto, Comboost, Pixamo, and Bubbleshare.
While comics aren't really photos, there are some online sites that can generate cartoons. Believe it or not, they can spice up lessons. One example:
"If you have not used ToonDoo, you need to get on and try it out. We are using it right now with a wellness class. The teacher is having the students create a comic related to cutting. This is a great free
product to use. Caution: Students must register with an email address. It is slow on wireless computers--wired is better. If a teacher wants to use this for a class project and the program is new to the students, give the students 1 day to learn how to use the program through 'play.' "
Another one to try is GoAnimate.
Animoto will make video from your still photos. Educators can apply for a free membership, and Alex uses it all the time for newspaper.
