INVESTIGATIONS IN TECHNOLOGY

Course Description: This is a Freshmen technology class that is the logical class to follow the Exploratory Technology class taken as an eighth grader . This class offers a state of the art interactive multi-media delivery system that teaches career exploration. Students will spend 20 days investigating the following technical areas: manufacturing technology, architectural design, multimedia, and career planning. After completion of this class a student will be better able to make sound career choices for the technical times in which we live and have solid preparation for the Science in Technology class taken as a sophomore.

Course Description: This course focuses on the fundamentals of individual and team sport. Team play concepts and skills as well as offensive and defensive strategies will be targeted as objectives. The five areas of health related fitness and six areas of skill related fitness will be covered in depth and reinforced through class activities. Team games will include: soccer, flag football, volleyball, floor hockey, team handball, basketball, softball, and ultimate frisbee. Dual and individual sports include: badminton, pickleball, frisbee golf, and archery.
