SCIENCE IN TECHNOLOGY

Course Description: Science in Technology is a sophomore science class that is the logical class to follow either the Exploratory Technology class taken as an eighth grader or the semester Investigations in Technology class taken as a Freshman. This class offers a state of the art interactive multimedia delivery system that teaches career exploration in such a technical manner that a student gets a science credit for completion of the course. Students will spend 20 days investigating the following technical areas: material science, digital electronics, alternative energy, biotechnology, communication technology, and environmental technology. After completion of this class, a student will not only have a science credit, but be better able to make sound career choices for the technical times in which we live.

Course Description: Anatomy class is designed for students interested in careers in the health sciences. First semester topics include: orientation of human anatomy, cytology, histology, integumentary system, skeletal and muscle systems, and the digestive system. Second semester topics include circulatory and respiratory systems, endocrine and nervous systems, urinary and reproductive systems. Classes will be enhanced through laboratory experiences
