6-7-8 Outcomes

The student will:
•demonstrate the ability to use the sign rules for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

•demonstrate the ability to apply the order of operations.

•demonstrate the ability to evaluate expressions using the four basic operations.

•demonstrate an understanding of the relationships between fractions, decimals,
and percents as well as proportions and ratios.

•demonstrate the ability to change whole and mixed numbers to fractions for use
in solving algebraic equations.

•demonstrate the ability to use rounding and estimation in working with decimals.

•demonstrate an understanding of the laws of exponents and their application.

•demonstrate the ability to write numbers in scientific notation and perform calculations with the numbers in scientific notation.

•demonstrate the ability to perform prime factorization and find GCF’s (lowest common factors) and LCM’s (lowest common multiples).

•demonstrate the ability to calculate mean, median, and mode to a given set of data.

•demonstrate the ability to interpret, analyze, and plot various types of graphs.

•demonstrate the ability to make predictions based on statistical data.
