lives, times, and works of the worlds greatest composers.
Each video features the Moscow Symphony Orchestra performing the
works of the master composers intercut with images and paintings,
guest soloists, dramatizations, and feature film clips. David
Palmer provides a narrative of the events and influences which
shape the development of the composers and their works. Each video
is approximately 52 minutes and each 70-minute CD includes complete
movements from major works. The CD selections are different from
the ones on the video and feature soloists performing with the
Moscow Symphony.
One copy of each is available to be shared among the schools.
