From Council Grove, drive south on KS-177 through Cottonwood Falls and go South until you reach I-35. Turn left on the ramp and go Southeast for 1000 feet. Bear right on I-35, Kansas Turnpike and go Southwest for 22 miles. Exit I-35, Kansas Turnpike via the ramp at the sign reading "Exit 71 to El Dorado and KS-254/KS-196" and go South for 0.5 miles. Turn right on W 6th Ave and go South for 300 feet. Turn right on KS-254 and go West until you reach Towanda.
