Expository and Persuasive Reading

Our school is looking for materials that teach and reinforce expository
comprehension. Any resources or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks!

RESPONSES:

-I was searching online for persuasive reading lessons for 6th graders and came across an excellent resorce I wanted to share. It is EXACTLY what I've been looking for! You could use the webquest in its entirety, or just use the articles as practice for analyzing persuasive text. It would be easy to choose articles and create test questions modeled after the Kansas Reading Assessments. The topics are of appropriate interest level to 6th graders (corporal punishment, school prayer, school violence, school vouchers, etc.), and a number of links are provided for each topic.
