Kansas School Library Media Month, April 2003

To celebrate school library media month we are doing a variety of activities. We created screen savers on our computers by taking digital pictures of our 5th grade students and then having the students add a short message of what they liked about the library. The screen savers are being rotated throughout the month.

Other activities include a book exchange. For every book a students brings in, they get a ticket which they will be able to exchange for a book. Books not selected will be given to charity.

We are also having a trivia question each morning on the announcements with the winners getting a new book for their class. Another activity is a reading contest between classes with the winning class getting a popcorn party.

Our students have really enjoyed all these activities and so have we.
