School Library Media Month, April 2003
Overland Trail Elementary
is celebrating National Library Month in a big way!
We
started the month off with our PTA sponsored Book Fair. The week of
April 7th through 11th local children’s author, Susan Clymer, will
be author in residence. She will work primarily with the fifth graders
as they begin their picture book writing project.
On Wednesday, April 9th local storyteller, Jo Ho, will be performing.
Her program for grades K-5 is entitled “Environmental Stories.”
This ties right in with our Earth Day theme.
Throughout the month of April students are bringing in “gently
used” books that they wish to donate to the OTE Book Exchange.
Students who bring books to the exchange will be able to choose books
during the “exchange days” April 28th through 30th.
