There is a great advocacy article in the March 2006 issue of School Library Media Activities Monthly. It is called "Lean on One Another" by Catherine Beyers. It features a really excellent website from the Wisconsin Educational Media Association (WEMA) that includes a wealth of resources on advocacy, research, standards, data collection tools, etc. Their slogan is "WEMAtter because our students do: building information and technology skills for 21st century learners."
