SCHOLARS' BOWL LETTERING POLICY


1. Stay out for the entire season for Scholars' Bowl.

2. Put forth a genuine effort in practice and competition.

3. Be responsive and cooperative with the coaches and other team members. Be respectful toward coaches and players from other schools.

4. Demonstrate sportsmanlike conduct at all tournaments.

5. To letter:

a.) Answer a total of 25 questions (25 x 10 pts. each = 250 pts.) in tournament competition (these points may be accumulated from one year to the next for credit.)

b.) A provisional letter will be given when 15 questions are answered.

c.) A certificate of participation will be given for 0-14 questions answered.

d.) After the 25 question requirement has been met a bar will be awarded for each subsequent year of participation.

e.) A total of 100 points (equivalent to 10 questions) will be deducted for failure to attend a scheduled tournament for reasons other than illness or another school-sponsored activity.

6. Assist coach(es) with local tournament if one is held.
